Default First time post. Puppy at the park

I am new here and in fact fairly new at photography all together. I am self taught so I am not good with terms etc. I really want to learn though and value your input. I have so many pics I love to share.

I took this pic of a french bulldog put at the dark park. I know I cropped it and adjusted the "lighting" in photoshop but I do believe that was it. I am also learning PS for editing but I do like to keep the picture natural. Thanks for your input!

Looks pretty good to me! He's a cutie.

Color looks good and natural with good contrast and color, you got nice catchlights in the eyes, good focus, nice depth of field ... really good job overall.

A few things you might want to consider next time is to watch the cutting off of the toes (and at joints in general). It's not wrong and really doesn't seem to hurt this shot much, but cutting of extremities and the like tends to make for uncomfortable compositions. The crop is a little tight (for me anyway) so consider leaving a bit more "room to breath" as they say in some of your shots. (Again, not wrong, just know that tight crops can add a sort of tension you may or may not want.) And, you are either really short or you got down really low to get this shot. That's a good thing but for subjects so small like this little guy, you might find getting on your belly gives you an even more interesting perspective. That's why I shoot big labs and goldens.

Anyway, really nice effort. Seems to me quite a good shot for a beginner.
