Hi all, the sunset is creating the shadow on the sand, also on the water

Can you please composition?

Thanks Art

It's a nice concept, however, the subject is lost in the frame because it is too small. A closer composition would improve that aspect. That said, the white on the bird is so over-exposed that I don't think you can get it back. Maybe if you shot raw and the complete blowing of the highlight came from processing . . .

I agree with Mr Poor. Great concept, would prefer a tighter shot since bird, reflection and shadow are what the composition's about, not an expanse of relatively featureless sand.

White birds are NOT easy to get good exposures of, way easy to overexpose when everything else is metered in. I struggle constantly to capture white plumage that is neither blown out nor dingy looking.

Default Nice

I like the reflection of the bird more than the shadow.

Oh, sorry. I thought your dad was Mister Mr Poor....

Say, is it "legal" to re-do the PP on a photo per the comments received, then post the results in the thread? I mean, The Rules say only one picture per thread.....? Art sounds like he's about to take another whack at it, and I'd like to see how it goes.
