Default seagull at sunset....

Hi all, this seagull is taking a break of flying, this pic was taken in Venice Beach CA

I did some tone and saturation touch

Can you please critic the mentioned above?

Looks like it'd make a fine post card to me.

Interesting, though ......... looks like he has a band on his leg. Wonder who'd be banding herring gulls??

Personally, I'd have gone for a wider aperture to defocus the background a bit more (wider is the correct term, right?), but that is a personal choice, you've got a perfectly good capture there.

Thanks for your comments, normally the ring is used to have a control of them

If you mean wide angle, then you are right, in this case I used 55mm to have it as much close as I could.
