I took this picture on a lake shore just before sunset. I processed it in capture nx2/ lightroom 3 and I am looking for some feedback how I can improve it further.

I once heard a quote that said something like "I am not unkind enough to tell you the truth", wish I knew where it came from. But since you asked........
I see an otherwise pretty decent photo screwed in several ways. The link instead of the actual picture posted in the forum gets us off to a sorry start; I usually just ignore links. The huge watermark emblazoned across the thing does little to reward us for enduring the inconvenience/inconsideration. Then, misidentification, or lack of identification, annoys me as a bird enthusiast, but to not know a duck from a seagull tells me you might want to get out more. Seriously, if authors are advised to "write what you know about", I'd have to say it follows that photographers can benefit from understanding a little more about what they're attempting to portray/document. Finally, if you now call it a duck, then perhaps you might edit your posts to reflect it? Well, that's my take, anyway; hope it isn't too brutal. I feel like the comedian who says "Is there anyone I haven't offended yet? Wait a minute, I'll get to you."
