Default The Elegant Heron

Heya, I took this photo of a Heron while on holiday in the Isle of Wight, UK.

I know it doesn't comply with the rule of thirds
I know the bird isn't close up so there isn't much detail

what do you think?

Thanks

The tilt of the horizon really throws me off and overall the image leaves me sort of flat to be honest - in fact I find my eye drawn more to the buoy than the subject.

On a positive note, I very much like the black sheep image on your Flikr stream (sorry to derail).

Looking back at the photo with what you said in mind, I have to agree with you. Glad you like the sheep though, I like him too!
