still a bit confused how to use this site, but i put this picture on here to start getting involved in things, I think i am getting a liking for wildlife photography, a bit old for a beginner at 51 but hey we all have to start somewhere

Welcome to DPS. Just nose around a bit more and you will get the hang of this site.

It might help to note that there are two sections for sharing and both have about the same categories. They are the SYS (share your shot) and the critique sections. Post your images in SYS if you just want to share. Use this section (critique) if you are looking for feedback on how to improve certain aspects of a particular image. If you would like a critique, check out the rules here, Critique Forum Rules, and modify your post with the edit button.

If you don't want critique, just post a note here and ask the Mods to move it to the SYS.
