Default Great Egret (pissed off)

My third outing with my first DSLR, processed in my first session with Photoshop Elements.

Nikon D3100 w/Nikkor 55-300mm

Nice enough picture...Being on the shadow side isn't ideal, but in that hard light I actually think it may have worked better than frontal lighting would.

'Nother noob here. I think you aced the shot, those things are murder to get good exposures of, bright white as they are. I either overexpose the plumage or underexpose the BG. I like what you have done here.



But that would be a Snowy Egret. Yellow feet.
