Default Levi 4 years old portrait

Here I try to make a real portrait of my 4 years old best friend (breed - Slovenský čuvač). Please be so kind and let me know what interests you on this picture, or what interferes you.

I quite like the "dark lighting" if that makes sense hahaha but I was very much distracted by the wrinkles on the background.

Nice details and beautiful dog! I like how stately he looks, a real gentleman.

The only thing I think should be done different next time is using a different color backdrop. Maybe something in a darker brown but not too dark? Just like jewelers use black to showcase diamonds. I think the contrast would make him stand out more rather then blend into the background.

This is a very nice picture of a great looking dog. What I think makes this photo really work is that while your depth of field is rather narrow, you kept the primary point of focus on his eyes. The viewer really connects with the dog through that wonderful eye contact. Very well done.
