Bird in flight

Last month I happen to go to Bharatpur bird sanctuary during our holiday in Rajasthan. I took this picture there.
Camera 60D Lens70mm-200mmf/2.8 with 1.4x converter ISO400, f/8 shutter 1/3200 ,hand held focal length 255mm.

Overall nicely done. The only suggestions I have are to add some canvas to the top, bottom, and left. I find the bird to be too tight in the frame.

BG is a little noisy. Focus is a little soft. And I agree about needing a little more room.

I blurred the BG, Did a Highpass sharpening layer (set to soft light), Some sharpening brush to just the eyes/face, and added some space.

I feel like the sky should be more "blue" but messing with that from the copied Jpeg adds color banding....but it should be easy to adjust from the original.

Thanks for the comments. I will add a little color to the sky and repost it....
