Default Its my pet, not wildlife but....

Here is a picture I took of my Boxer, Brody. He is nearly a year old and is such a clown. He looks for more mature in this picture than most that I have of him. Anyways, hope you like and welcome any critique on post processing, color, saturation, etc...

Nice Christmas image of your pooch! I like the shot but it looks to my eye as if the dog's face is a bit over processed. A little less sharpening would likely look a little more realistic. Hope that helps.

I agree on the over processing.

Also, shifting to camera left to get his face / head fully in front of the tree would be a big improvement over the light switch, chair rail, window frame, artwork in the BG.

A pop of light in the eyes would brighten them up quite a bit. Brighter ambient or even a "spot light" on the eyes to constrict the pupils would show more color in the iris.

Yea this shot was completely unintentional though. I was plain with the camera and had it sitting on my chest when he walked over and I grabbed a quick shot without even looking. The picture was horribly crooked and I had to straighten the whole thing.

The composition is good with the xmas tree bit I too feel that the face has been over processed and dose not look realistic....
