Post sooo innocent...

taken from a zoo
got interested in the way the monkey is sitting innocently
is the image editing bad
a beginner in photography and editing

I'm not a big fan of the editing.

I think the fake blur looks a bit odd.

And the moneky himself doesn't look very sharp unfortunately.

now i just adjusted the curves and undo the blur...
tried with curves to highlight the monkey with masking...
but still.....

Yeah the monkey is not sharp enough for me. I would also get rid of the bright green foliage in the foreground.

I agree about taking out the green foliage in the foreground. Also, I would take out most of the lighted area to the left so that attention is focused on the monkey rather than foliage, light and a rope. I can see how that monkey is looking like "who me???" innocent and this might help the viewer see that instead of everything else.

With the foliage in the foreground, it's hard to focus on the targeted focal point which is also unfortunately not sharp enough for the image. Next time, try to zoom in a bit and keep the monkey in better focus and chances are, you would have a good picture! Keep trying
