Default Buffalo

I would like some critique on the composition of this shot, and do you think it could be a little sharper. I haven't done anything to the photo. Thanks for any and all comments.

Camera GENERAL IMAGING CO. X5
Exposure 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture f/6.6
Focal Length 73.5 mm
ISO Speed 80

Default it's a herd of buffalo

I like the buffalo in the foreground. He looks pretty Sharp to me. The problem is his buddies in the back. Those guys seem to be competing for the viewer's attention. A larger aperture would help to reduce the depth of field . The softer focus of the background would help to limit the distraction of the other buffalo.

Thanks tlong, So what I should have done was to put all the focus on the Buffalo up front and made a nice buffalo boquet in the background. I see now. Thanks very much.

Default Looks better to me!

I think your edit improved your shot. Now if you could just get him to comb some of the straw of his face.

Thanks tlong, your right it did improve the shot. Thanks for the advice. As far as the straw, I don't want to get that close.

The part that bothers me, is all the space on top of him and so little under his chin
