Default Hungry gull

How I took it?

Every day around the same time there is a man feeding ducks, swans and gulls at the local pond. He comes with 4 bags of bread that he buys in the local supermarket - and then he just gives it to the birds... As you can imagine there is a frenzy of birds... Easy to take some pictures...

Canon EOS 60D with speedlite 430 EX II - 35mm
ISO 400, shutterspeed 1/250 s, F6.3

Questions:
It the blur at the wings ok? - or should I have increased the shutter speed?
Does the background (and branches) disturb the picture?

for me, the wing blur is fine, gives a feel of motion to the photo...I LIKE the background myself, especially with the fog and the lighting, the birds really pop..it looks like a painting.

the branchs in the foreground are a plus not a negative, IMO..balances the photo nicely.
