Default Silverback

I recently had some people look at this image I took at a wildlife park in France back in the summer. Someone suggested I crop it to contain just the head and shoulders, I would be grateful to hear any other options on how to treat this image.

Since the background is uninteresting cropping it might be a good idea -- have you tried it? The face has a very strong expression and I'd like to see it in a close up ...

I was trying to show how big this guy was in the original but I do like the square crop of edited version, like you say it shows his expression off better.
