Default Butterfly shot

Hi, I took this at the museum of natural history while on holiday in New York and was hoping for some critique. I was quite taken with the colours, but what do you think of the composition, and also have I been using the right settings to get the best photo out of the situation? It was a reasonably brightly lit, indoors, butterfly house with no natural light. Any help would be much appreciated

Unhappy

For me the butterfly gets kind of lost in the bright colors. Maybe a tight crop would help....?

Tighter crop was the first thing that popped in my mind.

Photobucket

Here is what it looks like when I cropped it. The butterfly grabs your full attention.
