Default Weaver Bird South Africa

I took this shot on a recent trip to South Africa. While it may look funny, this is exactly as he was hanging in the tree. Please critique at will.

My first reaction (while I could only see the top of the photo) was "whoa, blue" but once I scrolled down I saw how nicely it brings out the subject.

Great capture, nice and sharp, love the contrast. The nest is so interesting as well

Default Weaver bird blue

Liz thank you for looking and commenting about the photo. I have only cropped the photo a slight amount, no change to the actual colors of the scene. Blue sky was what I had for sure. I like the contrast too. Any suggestions however?

You could probably crop in a bit tighter, actually, just enough to get the eye of the bird closer to the lower right 3rd

Great bird shot! Maybe cropping some of the left and right to make a more vertical shot and crop out the blurry flowers would work -- I like the sharp flower on the top as a compliment to the bird ... very nice!
