Default Birds in flight

This shot is from my safari in Tanzania. We were waiting and searching for leopard when I noticed some Bee-eaters flying in and out to this branch with the morning sun right behind them giving it some good light.

It was hard to focus though to get an interesting shot with the birds fling.
I particularly liked this one, with 2 of them flying towards me and almost looking right at me, while another one is sitting on the branch with an insect in it's beak.

Taken with Nikon D7000 + Nikkor 80-200 F2.8 + soligor x2 extender on a monopod.
Exposure: 1/640
Aperture: F2.8 *
Focal Length: 200mm *
ISO: 400
* Can't be sure about the focal length because of the extender.. I think it should be on 400mm, and aperture F5.6

Looking for all kinds of feedback; How do you handle focus, tips on composition, post-processing etc. Thx!

I like the comp & light very much.

The only downside to me is the out of focus bird at the bottom right.
I wonder how it would have looked with a bit more DOF (shooting around F5.6? to still have the bird in focus, but the background still out of focus
