I have a lot of Birds in my backyard,so I try to practice as much as my wife will put up with. I was wondering if this shot is exposed right and if the light spot at the top is distracting. It happens to be one of my favs,so far. Im just getting started.
Camera Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd
Exposure 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture f/5.0
Focal Length 70.8 mm
ISO Speed 64

I like this. Unusual pose and great light. Nicely done. If the aperture was a little smaller you would have all of him in focus and it would be outstanding.

Well done with such a slow shutter speed! I would replace the bright spot at the top with more of the yellow bokeh stuff ... I don't think you need that greenery in the bottom right either, I find it a little distracting -- nice shot!

Thanks Crockny for the great advice, I was thinking that bright spot was a little too much as well. I have some editing tools but have not started learning them yet. But I may try something with this shot. Thanks alot, John
