Default Aussie

I took this photo at a local waterpark event for doggies and PP in Lightroom. I like this picture a lot, but I do think it could be improved.
Do you think it looks overcooked? Should I have cropped the right of the photo a little more or do you like the way the dog is positioned? Also, since the dog is in the water should I selectively color the water blue to make it look better? Any other suggestions are welcome.
If you think you can make a point better by re-editing it, please feel free.
Thanks for looking!

This aussie was so handsome!

yes, its very overcooked and over exposed. sorry. But, if thats the look you were going for, it's fine. Those eyes are pretty intense!
I'd use the rule of thirds to crop it as the dog is too close to the edge. Needs a little room to wander. Theres also something in the upper corner that just doesnt fit quite right. I'd crop or clone it out

Thank you so much for your input. Unfortunately, the doggie was at the extreme edge of the screen when i captured him. I couldn't do much to change his position, but did crop out the right a little. I took another crack at the PP. Let me know what you think. I am still a newbie, so I am trying to learn as much as I can and I appreciate you taking the time!

Aussie undercook attempt

I personally think you should get rid of the border, I think it cuts the photo... i would like to see it with no border and let the water just flow off the image instead of being stopped. I really liked both edits of the image. I think it depends which look you're going for how much to 'cook' it...

Thank you for your input. I like borders on my photos, but will take it out of this one and see how it looks. Thanks for saying that you like the previous edit. I do like it and think it makes for a very intense photo.
