Wilhelm the polar bear's last day at the NC Zoo (for 2 years while renovating habitat).. He was very playful this day and seemed to want to interact with the people. So much fun watching him..
ISO 160 f 3.5 1/1250 sec 50 mm no flash Thanks for your critique! I'll take all the help I can get!! Last edited by susanhmorgan; 09-22-2011 at 01:45 AM. Reason: forgot to link photo |

Oh I like this. Such a neat moment. Really like the face reflection too.
About the only thing I can see that might make it a little better is dodging (lightening) a few areas, mainly the hands meeting and Wilhelms nose. For me the hands meeting is what tells the story but it's dark and I almost missed it. A little lighter with some detail might help the viewer find it faster and with more clarity. In the end though, despite a couple areas being kinda dark, I still got the story so nice job.

Nice capture!
I agree with lightening the hands and face, but I also noticed a head in the bottom left. Nothing wrong with it and It didn't seem distracting. Just out of place is all.

Great capture! I really like it!
I like the crop. I do agree, if the hand could be lightened it would draw more attention to it. ![]() You did a great job taking this through glass! When I take pictures through glass, they never turn out.

Thank you jon, that was her little boy standing there. Not sure how to get rid of it. Thank you.
Thank you TNH, I'm still trying to figure out the dodging without making it look dodged.. I suck at PS.. Trying, though. BTW, I didn't crop the photo. That was how I took it. Thank you so much!! |

This is a wonderful capture and very evocative - love it! Being a perfectionist, I would clone out that lower left head though ...
This is really a very poetic picture ... thanks.
