Default Lion/Lioness from Animal Kingdom.

While on our annual disney trip - took the safari ride at Animal Kingdom. We rarely get a chance to get a good picture of the lion/lionesses due to the limited reach of my camera, but this year I was armed with a canon sx30 is. (Since returned so I can get the sx40 when it comes out later this month)

Anyway - this is what 840mm looks like. I was pretty happy with both pics considering it was taken from the back of a very bumpy safari ride.

There is a smudge that needs cleaned up in the lioness picture (my personal favorite) but both pictures are straight out of the camera and have only be resized per forum rules...

Lioness:
F-stop - 6.3
Shutter - 1/1600
ISO Speed - 200
Focal Length - 840mm (exif data says 150mm due to the nature of the Canon lens)

Any suggestions for better composition of the shot? Anything I could have done to make the shot better (in your opinion). Thanks for any help you can give.

Michael

having ridden that ride many times, knowing how scarce the lions are and how chaotic the driving is, i'd say you did pretty dang good. I'm going to the not so scary Holloween party tomorrow night
