Default Redtailed Hawk

This was taken at local fair raptor rescue booth. Still learning the camera and PP. All comments welcomed.

Exif:
Canon 500d
EF 70-200 f4 L IS @ 200mm
Av @ f18
1/50 sec handheld
ISO 200

PP in ACR and PS Elements 9.

If I'd been paying attention, I'd have used a larger aperture and faster SS, but it doesn't seem to lack for sharpness even as slow as it was taken.

Nice shot, pretty bird. For CC I'd suggest not cutting off the feet. TFS

Thanks... I agree. I probably should crop it a bit higher so that it doesn't look like the feet are just cut off. It was perched on the woman's hand and I was trying to get more of a wild feel. I did take one with the entire bird in the frame, but the pose wasn't as good in that shot. I may PP and post that one for critique later.
