Default Cat Eyes

I took this picture with a regular point and shoot camera. I am really proud of it but I am sure there are things I could have, should have done. I do not have Photoshop yet so any editing I do is with Picasa, Picnic or PMB. The only thing I did was change it from color to black and white. I did not use a flash and it was natural light. There is a shinny spot at the corner of his eye. Is that really distracting? Can that be fixed with Photoshop? I like the detail of his Fur but is it better to smooth it somehow? Any comments are welcome and Thank you all!

Hi The shine isn't distracting, but what would have made this picture if you had of captured the nose too!
