Default Dragonfly

I have just taken up photography this summer, after cataract surgery. I have no idea yet what I'm doing as a complete novice so any advice at all would be great!

I love dragonflies and feel so lucky whenever I am able to capture photos of them. This one I thought was especially beautiful because of the way the light played with it's wings.

Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture f/4.8

I'm inviting you to take a peek at the critique sections rules/guidelines so you can see what information needs to be included in your posts. Please do that, return, and edit your post with the info you need.

Perhaps you can just go ahead and remove the post. I apologize for not knowing what I've done.

I agree with you! I like the way the light is hitting his wings also. This is a nice picture. He is a pretty big bug may have tried setting the camera to about f5.6 or so to try to get the other in wing a clear focus also. Great start though.

Default good job!

You certainly captured the scene in a captivating way. The background faded perfectly just enough to keep the grasshopper in focus.
