Default She Loves Her Tennis Ball

So, this is my dog olive. We were out playing ball while I was trying to take pictures. I got this picture and I really like it. This is SOOC and I would like to know if this is a good point of view? Does it look sharp enough? Any other thoughts and critiques are welcome.

The PoV works for me. The depth of field gives a sense of place without distracting too much from the subject. The photo looks sharp enough at this resolution.

Recommendations:

The dark parts of the photo are awfully blocked up. I'd recommend using a "Shadows/Highlights" layer or "Fill Light" (depending on the tools you have) to open up the shadows a bit.

I'd really like a crop that didn't cut the tip off the dog's nose. It's hard to do given the shooting angle, I know, but that framing really doesn't work for me.

Thanks Doug. I unfortunately shot this in jpg instead of raw so I am not sure what I can do to help with the dark parts (I do have Photoshop CS3) and I accidentally cropped the nose when I took the picture so there is nothing I can do about that.

Thanks again for your comments.

if the doggies fur was better lighted, it would really highlight the doggie.
