Default Patches the cat

50mm
f/2.5
1/640
ISO 400

Hey all, my favorite animal in many years, Patches the barn cat.

It's uncropped (as shot) and I darkened it and bumped up the contrast some from the original.

Interested in critique on composition and feedback on whether this stands out at all. In other words, unique image or one of many cute kitty pics? I'm OK with cute kitty because I love the cat, but hoping it's more and hoping to understand why or why not. Feel kinda silly asking that, but there it is. Thanks!

Thanks!

It's a nice photo.

Bit dark, and I'd have liked to see the tops of the ears.

Andy.

Thanks for this feedback!

Yeah, I'm OK without the tops of the ears, but it would have been good to say I cropped them out rather than the truth, which is that this is the whole frame. She kept moving towards me faster than I could set up and get the shot, which is a problem when you're using a prime lens.
