Question soft focus issues or motion blur??

Does this look like motion blur soft focus in my animals face and legs. I think its motion blur, but if its soft focus then I need tips on how to achieve super sharp focus. I sometimes ruin decent shots by not focusing like I should.

I'm having trouble seeing the softness at this size, however at a 250th, I'd say motion blur (if any). Great capture.

Looking at the larger image on flickr, i'd say that's motion blur for sure, try bumping up your ISO to get the exposure down as fast as you can, try for 1/500th or better should help

The shutter speed was already 1/800. It doesn't need to go slower. If anything, it needs to be faster. It looks pretty sharp to me though. There is a little motion blur, but I like it that way. It adds just enough movement to the image to make it a little more interesting. I think you did an awesome job capturing this! Don't pixel peep, and enjoy it!

No worries. That sucks about the sleepman! My g/f has chronic insomnia. I've never suffered. I can fall asleep standing upright.
