Default Is it just me?

My hubby thinks this one sucks, but i am drawn to it. Is it just me?What do you think? I like the "sparkle" of the grass, the light. I have one with the horse in focus, but i just think this one looks better.

Thanks for looking.

it's meh. sky is blown, horse is distracting from the sparkle in the grass.

it looks like an accidental shot, to me.

I kind of like it, but I think a few minor changes would have made it better. A slight POV to the right would have captured a little more of the horse without clipping the tail. You have DOF softness on the horse that is fine, but it appears you also have motion blur on the horse..a faster shutter may have been a benefit. I also feel a slightly tighter crop with a little less of that blank white sky showing would also help, and it would also move the horse up in the composition closer to the rule of thirds. I do like the tones and the overall idea of the shot, and can see why you like it.

I think this shot has some nice aspects to it, but I feel like the horse is in a zone where it's not out of focus enough. It draws my eye away from the sharp grass, and that makes me confused as to what is the subject of the photo, horse or grass. I agree with the above comment about a crop, perhaps focusing on one element would help improve this shot. Also, it appears to be overall too bright. Perhaps shifting the image contrast down a bit will help bring out the shape of the grass, as right now all the colours blend in to one another.

Need to crop out the sky as autofocus said. I cropped it so that the lens flare is on the left third and the horse's head is on the right third vertical. The motion blur is a bit much but it doesn't hurt too badly.
