I'm wondering if there is much need to try and further sharpen the image and if any tweaks to the color balance would be recommended?
![]() Personally, I'm happy with things as they are. The eye, beak, and feet pop-out just right to me with the unsharp mask, and I think the feathers are sufficiently soft enough to not distract from the overall feel of the picture. I'm leery of trying to sharpen things much more. I like the warmth of the picture, too, but wonder if others may think it's a little much. Converting the original image to black-and-white seems to work well (with level adjustments and a slightly more squarish crop, although I think the sharpening went a bit overboard). Shot in a continuous shooting mode from a tripod June 16, 2011. The picture was recorded in JPEG format. Post-production was limited to an 8x10 ratio crop and some low-resolution unsharp masking with Paint Shop Pro X12. Camera: Fuji FinePix S9100 EXIF: - Exposure Mode: Auto |
