Default Look at me...No, don't look at me...

Hi guys

I had the chance today to visit the zoo and took some pictures of the animals. While editing I had a question in mind. What should be better when photografing animals?

Is it better if you take a picture when the animal is whatching you or not?

The two examples are here and here.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Hi all. If I may, I'm no pro and a newbie here, but played with your image a little. Hope you don't mind, just let me know, I just did this for an example of what I would have done. I looked at cropping horizontally, my fav, but really didn't feel it was right for this. To cut out the right side, seemed rather empty, so I flipped the crop to vertical. Then since I'm on Linux, I opened the image in Gimp and used a small amount of unsharp mask on it. Not very much, just enough to make his/her hair and details "pop" some. By the way, love the far off look in the eyes. Great Job Sugar.

Again, let me know when I need to delete the image I altered off of Imageshack, I fully understand and just did this to show how different the image can look when these two things are done.
