Default Black Cat

Looking to get some feedback on this capture of my cat. What do you think?

Good detail on the cat, there is a spot that looks over exposed and a spot that looks under exposed, but i think with different location (more even lighting) it could be corrected!

I very much like the front view of the cat. The eyes are striking and the backlighting works very well on the translucent ears and as rim lighting. I think that in this subject, the strong contrast between the highlights and shadows works well artistically.

I don't like the back end of the cat anywhere near as much. Perhaps a portrait crop of just the front of the cat?

A couple of other things to consider in the future:

* It looks like you might be tilted just a bit clockwise. Easy enough to fix if you crop.

* I really wish the bottom edge of the photo didn't run through the front paws. Either higher or lower should work better.

He needs some work. You have a lot of noise on his chest and some blown highlights by his right paw. He would benefit from a crop to eliminate these blown highlights and bring the focus to his face. I did a development process on him. What do you think?
