Not sure that the image will load, so here is the link just in case: Everglades: White Ibis | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I was entering Marco Island by the outskirts of the western part of the Everglades in South Florida, and I cam across what I thought to be a really lively scene where most of the colors were somewhat neutral with the exception of this bright White Ibis. I attempted to focus the entire frame because I wanted to capture the details and reflections of all the trees, branches, and the small waves in the water. I edited the picture slightly in Photoshop Elements 9 to brighten the colors and add contrast. I personally like the picture because it has a focus, the White Ibis, and the surroundings are, in my opinion, very appropriate. I shot the picture with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, at 250mm, F14, 1/125, EV: 0. I'd like some feedback on whether I should have focused/framed the shot differently, and whether the exposure was proper. Further, since I am very new to photography, having started taking pictures for slightly over a month, any other advice would be welcome. Anything I can take from experienced photographers will only make me a better photographer as well. Thanks in Advance!! (P.S. - This is my first post in the forum, but I'm sure that I will have more. So nice to meet all of you who read it!!) - Zag |

Welcome to DPS. I agree with boun that it looks overprocessed. Still a good shot, though. I noticed the ibis does not look in sharp focus. Actually, those green leaves to the right of him/her looks like they are more in focus. Maybe you just need to use a tripod.
