Default where can I crop this to improve composition

Hi all,

I snapped this picture of my 1 day old puppy this morning. I had to shoot fast as she was crawling toward mom, and it looks like she is nuzzling her here, which I like. However, the heater cord is on the right side, and I know it doesn't follow the rule of thirds. So, where could this be cropped to improve the composition. If I had another second, I could have framed it better, but it was a snap.

EXIF is as follows,
Nikon D80
Focal Length- 50mm
Aperature- f7.1
ISO 100
Exposure- 1/60s

Default Day old pup and Mom

Love this photo. If it were mine, I would clone out the electric cord on the right. I wouldn't want to crop on this right side, because I would want to keep the puppy's entire body in the picture. I'd also probably try a few crops on the left side, closer to Mama's head, making it a portrait of Mama's head and all of the baby. Let's see what some of more experienced folks have to say!

Just a though but you could try a straightening tool to make the photo crooked and crop along the black mat on the right. Sort of the dutch tilt idea!

I like the shot though it is precious!

I agree with the comment above. Try cropping it down to the momma's face and leave in the pups body.
