Default Thrush in our back garden

I have only had my DLSR a week and have been playing around trying to get shots of the birds in the garden. I know this is maybe off centre as it kept moving but as one of my 1st attempts, what comments would you pass on this pic?

Really nice for only a week with the camera. The image has nice color and looks too be quite sharp. The bird also has a nice catchlight in the eye and good light overall.

Anyway, about the only thing I see that I might do different is have a little more space at the bottom of the image. The tail feathers are just a a bit close to the edge. That's a pretty minor thing though.

Overall, I think it very well done.

Why thank you for the compliment on my photos! I've been at the bird thing for about three years now and just starting to get good shots. I am very lucky to have a friend who lives on the edge of a nature preserve who feeds everybody daily. It makes my birding so much easier.

Good Photo, sharp and good exposure.

I like to leave some crop room to help with composition, but you did very well.
