I don't normally post in this section, but this doesn't go in my normal Landscape section.
The Lensbaby Muse is really difficult to use properly because the point of focus relies on you keeping 4 fingers on the lens to hold the point of focus, then use the left thumb to zoom in live view to ensure that the point you want to be in focus is actually in focus.. Then you need to use your index finger to press the shutter release, without altering the focus. So I think I will be buying a composer and sell the muse.. I love the effect that this gives, it's just impossible to use with any accuracy. Anyhow, I love my camera, I told it what the f stop was in the lens, and it set the flash appropriately, this is one of the photos I took of my dog SOOC. I would very much appreciate any help using this lens.. I'm not particularly fussed about the composition here, what's more of interest is improving the photos I take with this lens.. Focus, placement of the sweetspot in the frame, that kind of thing. At some point I'll migrate from dog to family member, but the dg doesn't mind so much, so I'll practice on him for now. Exif: Lensbaby muse 50mm f/2.8 1/60 sec Fill in flash TTL metering

Good idea to experiment on the family dog first. He seems to be quite content being the model
![]() Anyway, I can't help you much with the lens as I have never shot with one. I think they take some serious effort and practice though. A friend of mine has one and she just says she has to be very patient. As far as this shot, I like the effect your getting and the focus looks to be in the right place with a nice DOF.
