I think the composition is interesting in a way. Typically it's preferred to have the subject moving into the frame but it can, at times, work this way too. Moving out of the frame can cause a sort of awkward tension. I like the blue color of the bird in contrast to the red leaf.
That said, I think it suffers a bit from lack of sharpness and clarity. Everything looks soft and I would love to see a hint of the birds eye. Looking at your exif I would guess the softness is from too slow of shutter speed. For something like this I would set it to at least 1/100th, preferably more. If you were using a longer focal length, quite a bit more. I see you were using Auto Exposure so now might be a great time to push yourself onto the "P", or even better, the "Tv" or "Av".
