Don't feel too put off. I think his section has been very slow the last few weeks.

I like the color. I think it works well and it truly says "late in the day sunset". It has a nice warm feel to it. I like the idea of the image too, using a bit of a silhouette. I do wish the right birds head was in profile but I know birds and they can be very hard to direct.

I find that the ducks are under exposed and would be great if there was more light on them, or if there were silhouettes as Karen_s suggested.

Also the Bokeh that the water has made in the top right I find a bit distracting.

As for the white balance, I find the presets on the camera are ok, but you can do better with the manual preset. It takes a bit of time and something white, but I find I get the pest results with it because it does adjust for those weird lighting times, such as sunset. (I use a D60 so I'm assuming the D90 also has it)
