Great attempt overall. I think the main thing you could do to improve this pic is to get down low. Try to get on the same level as the lovable subject, instead of aiming down, and you will see impressive results. Keep it up -

I like! He looks about ready for take off with those big beautiful ears
![]() The image does not look over exposed to me. In fact, it looks under exposed. His eyes are a bit dark. Do you know about histograms? They are invaluable for evaluating exposure. Here is a nice little primer if you've never heard the term ... Understanding Histograms I do agree with Augphoto about getting on the dogs eye level for some shots. I shoot most of my animals from that perspective. But, I like this angle too and I think it works because of those big ears and the eye contact. The tongue helps too. Give him a nice ear scratch for me.

@augphoto - I usually do get down at the dogs level but I was sitting in a chair and he was just looking straight up at me and I couldn't resist taking his picture. Thank you for you suggestion.
@karen_s - I have heard of and seen a histogram but have no idea how to read it, thanks for the link. I will try and take some pics of him at his level and see how they come out. Thanks again. |

He is so cute by the way and I am so glad he has found a good home.
