JJ is a Purebred Border Collie and was only six years old. He went many places with our family and was a mascot at our family business. He loved to go to grandpas ranch and herd cows and sheep and just be "FREE". No matter what mood your were in that day he would always cheer you up just by his smile and his ears. We lost JJ, January 27th 2011 at 8:30pm. It wasn't his time to leave. I was able to photograph his life. He just knew what to do when i had my camera. I miss him every much. If you have an animal that you love dearly, make sure to photograph their life's as well.

Firstly, sorry for your loss. I lost a 13 yr old dog last year, 6 years is just not long enough.
Like your photos of JJ, he looks like he had lots of fun at the farm.

What a wonderful Dog.
I got to know one when we were showing in 4-h with my daughter and her Sheltie. Other than our dog Andy a Shetland sheep dog, the border collie was by smarter than most adults I know. They have a will to please that is like no other and the ambition to "get'r done" I can tell you feel this void long after a new pup has stolen your heart again. Each friend is special, so keep on loving them and enjoy them. Life is short, but you sure don't want to miss out on the experience! He was very happy you can see it in his expression. He really wants to run over to you! But he won't since he knows you wanted that picture. |
