How is my composition?

I am looking for some views on the composition with this one. Is the subject(my cat) strong enough or is that flower pot taking some of the glory?

I couldn't even tell what that thing was until I read your post about it being a flower pot. For me, it definitely takes the glory away. The cat is adorable and I WANT to focus on it (it's a nice clear shot with a level of exposure I enjoy) but that pot just keeps dragging my focus away. If you could clone stamp that out, it would be great, compositionally speaking.
