Talking Here's your chance to beat up on Jim

I actually do have a specific question in mind for this photo, but I don't want to poison the well, so to speak by drawing attention to what I'm curious about. So, to keep up with the rule, I'll ask a specific question that has nothing to do with what I really want to know, though I welcome all feedback.

Can you tell what, if anything has been done to this photo as far as manipulation?
Where? What?

If anyone hits on what I really want to know, I'll give more details later.

I think that you've done a Curves adjustment, and possibly you've also intentionally blurred out the background. ??? Those are my guesses at what sort of manipulation was done here.

I'm really not concerned, though, about the manipulation(s). I'm seeing a Greyhound photo on DPS...and my heart just melts...

Below is my favorite photo I've taken of my Bernie boy! He looks similar to the guy in your photo!

Jim, is that two photos blended??? It may just be my eyes, but the lighting as far as head/body doesn't look quite right to me.

I find greyhounds to be a challenge for portraits. They're so long and lanky, that composition is tough. They are also one of the toughest breeds to get "happy ears" from if they don't keep them up naturally.

There is a curves adjustment, no I didn't blur the BG.
Interesting to see what folks find.

Nope, not a composite.

Stay tuned.

Jim, is it the result of wide angle distortion that bothers you?...especially with the size of the dog's nose. If that's what it is, it doesn't bother me...I like the photo

Where? Yes there was at least one person removed from the image. The removal was done rather hastily just to get rid of the distraction. If what I'm concerned about turns out not to be a big deal, I'll go back and retouch the extraction(s).

I'm still more interested in something else.

I actually like the WA distortion. One of the reasons I kept the photo.

I'm anxious to spill the beans, but want a few more replies.

Jim, the only things that really bother me are some of the loose "branches" in the background drawing my eye. And the dogs eyes appear to have been touched up. But that's just because I've been staring at it for so long. Now I'm looking for issues.

Edit: And for the record, I think the photo is great and Jim's just having fun messing with everyone!
