OK...I think this is much better! Not quite the same pose...I couldn't get him to do the same pose but I like this...what do yall think? The eye is in focus...does it have impact?

Nice pic. Very well done.
Only gripe is it seems too centered. I'd prefer to see it with more room to "look into". Probably have to add some space above as well to keep a reasonable aspect ratio.....

I like it!

The dog looks very anticipatory like any moment he’s going for the attention grabber.

Try cropping in rule of thirds, but center is OK too, in this case.

Nicely done. I would agree about adding a bit of space to the left but I like it none the less. He's got great eyes and such a sweet look.

(And I liked your other shot too despite the slightly out of focus eye so hang on to it too.)

Rusty art 2 crop

The first photo I posted is full frame...the only way I can fix adding more room to the right is to crop....is this too close though? I do like it a little closer...but you guys tell me what you think...

It's actually better, but not ideal.
This one is easy to do. Change the image canvas size (not image size).
Use the color selector to pick the background color (use the eyedropper on the image itself, not quite pure black) and then use the paint bucket to fill in the canvas with the color.
