Wondering about the crop and exposure, open to any other input also. Shooting from a dock hard to get level with the ducks limited shore line.

Thank you for the feedback. That is one thing I considered on this, but then thought well maybe I shouldn't leave her out! I have another photo of them with her a little further back. I will try the crop on that photo.

I like the two together, but perhaps you can crop it so it's a little offset, maybe making the male duck the main focus. With the female in the front and foreground it makes her the center of attention but he has the coloring.
I'd play around with cropping to see if you can get the "feel" you want with different placement in the picture, also zooming in a little tighter on them. Just my ideas
