Question Birds in Snow

Can I have some tips on this photo pf my cat Pikey? This is the raw image, no editing was done. I'm sorry I don't have a specific queston other than should I edit the contrast, saturation, exc? And what should I have done/what can I do in the future to make a better photo?
Please and thank you :3

As you can see, this is not a picture of birds in snow. In fact, this is the hunter of the birds in snow... oops... Well, that was my mistake and I'm sorry xD

Fujifilm S2800HD
Exposure- 1/80 sec.
ISO- 200
F-stop- f/11

Hi dare,

I'm only a rookie myself but if this was my photo I would crop it closer into the cat's face. I'm not sure what the block at the bottom of the picture really adds and it drew my eye away from the star of the show.

is this better? Or closer still?
yeah, I was afraid the sticker thing (not sure what it is) on the railing would be distracting, but I hadnt really thought about the railing itself, other than the fact that it was a little crooked...
If I was to frame this (I'm not planning on it but still), would the shadow on the right eye look funny when the photograph was blown up?

Yeah I think that's an improvement.

I don't know what can be done about the shadow but I it is a shame because it's so hard to get a cat looking straight down the lens like that!

Maybe an expert could give a hint on how to get rid in PP - I have no clue...
