Default Florida gator

I Florida gator keeping an eye on me, lucky for zoom lens....

Taken with a Nikon D90 using a Nikor 55 - 200 zoom
ISO 200 zoomed to 200mm @ f/8 , 1/60

I wasn't able to pose the gator so I had to rely on some post processing to get him to cooperate. Tried to enhance the image a little to show the yellow in the eyes and the stare without blowing the image out.

love the lines, but maybe the gator can be a little bit closer towards the center of the photo, because the picture looks a bit off balance in my opinion

I think I would crop closer, so the gator has more impact. Not too close, but enough so he is the obvious subject. I'd leave him in the upper left corner/third, so the dramatic water lines create an interesting dynamic up to his head.

Closer crop and I think it would be a far better picture! I love the lighting and the lines in the water!

Get em out of the water and tickle his belly! He'll mind you then...

Good capture!
