Question Rainbow Lorikeet in my back garden

Hi there! This is my first post here and I'd really like to get some suggestions on how to improve this photo. We have a tree in our back garden which attracts Rainbow Lorikeets and I finally got around to grabbing the camera and taking a few shots.

Any suggestions on exposure, colour etc would be appreciated. I tried to focus on the bird's eye to draw the viewer to the bird's face. I did make some adjustment to colour and exposure in Photoshop and cropped to photo to the bird.

To me the exposure & colour looks ok.
The main problem is the composition with the vegetation covering the birds beak. It is very distracting.

wonderful shot maybe you could clone out the branch and some of the other vegitation?
OR just shoot more since it right in your own backyard! how neat.

How nice to have such beautiful birds in your backyard! I have to go to the Zoo for such specimens.

For the shot... it is nice, with great colors, but I have to agree with the previous observations regarding the branch. Since opportunities do not always arise allowing for getting the perfect angle you should try to see if you can clone it out if you have Photoshop or similar program. The branch above the bird is also very distracting.
