Found this little guy resting on the leaf when I was walking around a park last holiday. Would like to hear your opinions on the post processing I've done. Is the color too unrealistic? Are the bright spots on the leaf disturbing?
As always, any other c&c would also be much appreciated.Thx

ps: If anybody could tell me whether it really is a hornet or not, that would be great, since I'm not really sure what it is ..

The color for me looks a little flat and maybe a bit blue (the blue cast could just be my screen). I like the processing, I'm just not sold that it fits the subject.I think of nature shots to be a little warmer (to the reds and yellows) and rich with deep color. But, I have been told I think too much so take that for what it's worth.

You have done a pretty good job at lessening the impact of the bright spots on the leaves. Were you by chance out in midday sun?

And I'll add that you did a nice job of composing the shot. The DOF is also very nice.
