Hey guys!
So, I just got my first SLR, and I'd love some feedback on the photos I've taken, specifically the one below. ![]() Nikon D80 f/1.8 1/250 ISO 200 50mm I did some PP too, but to be absolutely honest, my photoshop knowledge is fairly limited. I'd love some comments on these two as well please ![]() Click Click Click Click 2 Thanks guys! |

Hi,
To me it looks like the boxes are the focal point of this shot. The puppy behind I also find distracting. I would prefer to see just one dog sharp and the boxes perhaps out of focus. Try and ask specific questions and you may get a few more meaningful answers. Regards Andy |

Thanks for the input
![]() To be absolutely honest, I don't know what to ask, because I'm completely new to this. I can see what you mean about the boxes and the little one in the background, though. Thanks for that! |

Maybe you should ask yourself what would you included in the photo if you were painting it instead.
Remember that background will make or break your photos. Don't include anything unless it is part of or complements the photo. |

I find the boxes a bit distracting. They are taking up as much of the space as the pug is. Great DOF with the background out of focus. I don't really have a problem with pug #2 in the background but it'd look better if it was looking towards the camera - try waving food around. I have had pugs for pets for over 20 years, good luck trying to get them to sit still for a photo!
