Default Dragonfly

dragonfly
Samsung NX100, f/5.6, 1/25 sec, ISO-400, hand-held with manual focus
recently picked up photography. any advice is appreciated (:

I think you got a great amount of detail in this picture so I would say good job. Composition wise, I believe you could have done better as its bang in the middle of the frame. However, I am an amateur myself and will leave this to the experts here on this forum (and there are quite a few) to comment on the composition. One thing I would however mention is that you have a spot on the top of the frame. Not sure whether its a spec on your sensor or something else. I recently had one on mine and had to get my sensor cleaned up at a service centre. Overall, I think you have a pretty decent shot, great depth of field and I love the colors.

Thanks so much! Your comments are very helpful, especially the part on composition, and the encouragement is definitely appreciated (: and thanks for pointing out that spot, didn't notice it earlier. might have to go get my lens checked!
