It helps a great deal, both for your benefit and others to include information asked for in the guidelines. Thank you ahead of time for editing your post!

Sorry... do you mean because I didn't ask a specific critiquing question? Because I have already included the image info....

Just want to make sure I understand you correctly. Thanks.

I really like this picture! I'm new to photography so take my critique with a grain of salt.

I like how clearly you can see the bird - really nice focus. I also like that you can see some snow flakes and the blur in some areas due to the snow.

For me personally, since the bird is facing away, it would be nice if it was zoomed out a tiny bit more so you could see what the bird was sitting on/looking at. Just so I had more of a frame of reference.

That is a very nice shot! Love the bokeh and the angle as well. Different.

You might want to crop via rule of thirds and sharpen a bit.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I'm new to photography also so anything helps! When I first tried posting the picture I had a hard time getting it to upload so I was cropping a lot of it hoping it would work. Since then, I've learned how to do it throught Flickr. Here is what the original picture looks like:

That's great that the original is backed off like that! I agree with Photologyst - crop the original using the rule of thirds. I can't believe that bird just sitting there like that, good catch

I'm new to photography so no expert on what is right or wrong, but my personal preference is the uncropped picture - it is good to see the bird in context with its surroundings.

I'm a newbie as well but with that, I love close ups of animals and birds, but I think I prefer the second photo but with a little croping to tighten it up. I like seeing more of the snow, the railing and the fence behind - Defintiely gives it more context as seacreature mentioned. Regardless it's a wodnerful shot. Good for you.
